What have been your most memorable achievements for GPs?
Bringing the county together in the PMS negotiations in 2008. We managed to get the attention of all the practices and present a united front.
What are your biggest challenges at the moment?
The biggest challenges are keeping the show on the road, and maintaining the relevance of LMCs.
Are LMCs being involved enough in the NHS reforms?
Yes we've successfully brokered meetings for CCGs and got our colleagues in CCGs off the ground.
Why did you want to become an LMC Chair?
I'm a glutton for punishment in furthering the cause of general practice
