    Dear sirs
It was mentioned on BBC Radio 4 recently that the UK Racial Attitudes Survey has shown for over 20 years that 25% of the UK population have clearly biased racist views so this article about discrimination is bad but not surprising.

I think that this affects the results of Patient surveys, Access surveys, GMC Appraisal Multi Source Feedback (MSF) surveys and so all of these should be scrapped.

Unfortunately some professional colleagues also have biased views. I recall that 25 years ago that some GP adverts stated "Christian practice" implying that if you are from another religion you will not be considered.

I recall 24 years ago applying for a GP post in a practice and being informed that I was the only applicant, yet still not offered the post. This was annoying.
