Nominate your 2011 true champion of general practice

Next week Pulse will be publishing its traditional end-of-year roundup, and as you may have already seen, we're giving you the opportunity to vote for your pantomime villain.

But alongside our light-hearted awards, each year we also present one very serious one, to a true champion of general practice.

Whether it's a high-profile GP leader who's fought tirelessly on behalf of the profession, or a grassroots GP who's been quietly making a difference, we want to hear who you think deserves to be nominated this accolade – and as a token of Pulse readers' appreciation, we'll be sending the winner a Christmas hamper.

Let us know who you think should be nominated in the comments below or by emailing feedback@pulsetoday.co.uk (if you're looking for inspiration, check out who we selected last year). Then next week we'll publish a shortlist of five true champions, and shortly after that give Pulse readers a chance to vote for the overall winner.
