Learning objectives


This module will offer GP focused advice on referring patients with kidney disease:

  • Managing stable stage 3 Chronic kidney disease
  • Key interventions in diabetic nephropathy
  • Referring vasculitis
  • Referring unexplained renal failure after new medications
  • Managing patients with CKD who are extremely frail or have advanced dementia

This module is free for all registered members of Pulse Learning until 9th November 2011.

Dr Benjamin Bray is a renal trainee at the Western Infirmary Glasgow and clinical adviser to NHS Kidney Care

Dr Donal O'Donoghue is a consultant nephrologist at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and national clinical director for kidney care.
