Some CCGs did hold open elections

I am a young GP who contested for a position on my local clinical commissioning group board through an electoral vote based on GPs in our locality (South East Staffordshire CCG).

It was a well thought-out and fair process that enabled all the GPs who contested for the positions to be elected on individual merit.
