GPs buried under trusts' workload dump

We are dying to have GP leaders defend us

Phil, why can't you be a leader? I find our hailed leaders rather impotent at defending our profession ('Medics are not murderers').

They think all this media fuss about assisted dying is of no consequence and that the general public are all so well informed that they'd never believe the garbage they are spoonfed. Well, they do believe all this crap and ‘Houston, we have a problem'! If even Radio 4 is indulging in these fantasies then we are in big trouble as a profession. Are our leaders actually scared to speak out?

From Dr David Iles, Southampton
