Cystic fibrosis screening was rolled out in the UK from late 2007, but it's not infallible. Dr Jim Littlewood explains what to look out for.
Learning objectives
This module will advise on how to identify cystic fibrosis, including:
- Identifying symptoms and signs, including wheezing and poor weight gain
- Understanding the epidemiology of cystic fibrosis
- Suitable firt-line investigations
- Differential diagnoses, such as oesophageal reflux and asthma
