NHS Alliance publishes social enterprise guidance

A new paper on social enterprise and its role in the NHS has been published by the NHS Alliance.

The paper, Semantics of the Big Society, explains the difference between social enterprise, and mutual and co-operative models.

It is the first in a series of papers being put together by the NHS Alliance on social enterprises.

Mo Girach, special adviser on social enterprise to the NHS Alliance, said: ‘Having a guide to help people make sense of these different models is the very first small step in a path that could change the way we see and organise the NHS.'
