GPs to quiz Professor Steve Field at Pulse Live

The new chief inspector of general practice will take questions from GPs at the second-ever Pulse Live, as part of a live on-stage interview.

Professor Steve Field, who was appointed as the CQC’s first chief inspector of GPs last year, is one a series of senior figures from across general practice who will be appearing at the event in London at the end of April.

Pulse editor Steve Nowottny will conduct a live interview with Professor Field on the first day of the event and will invite questions from GPs beforehand and on the day.

Pulse Live takes place on 29 and 30 April in Hammersmith in west London, and features a four-stream format with expert speakers offering advice on your practice, your clinical works, your future and hands-on skills. There will also be plenary sessions with lively debates, discussions and the Big Interview, plus the opportunity to meet colleagues. The full two-day event is worth up to 14 CPD hours.

The first Pulse Live took place in Birmingham in April 2013 and was attended by hundreds of GPs across the country, with NHS England chair Professor Malcolm Grant the subject of the event’s Big Interview.
