Today is of course the first anniversary of the NHS reforms, which 12 months ago heralded possibly the biggest-ever changes to general practice in the history of the health service. For CCGs and those GPs involved in commissioning it is an important milestone (and one fully explored in Pulse’s April cover story here).
But today is also a day like any other in general practice. Up and down the country, ordinary GPs are preparing to get up, readying themselves for another day helping patients, keeping the NHS running and struggling to do more with ever dwindling resources. This is their story.
Over the next day we’ll be hearing from GPs and their staff around the UK – the good, the bad, the challenges and the small victories. And we also want to hear from you. Click here to find out how to get involved – and help us build a unique portrait of general practice in 2014.
