2027: My ‘day off’

She may not be at the surgery, but Dr Nicola Hambridge, a GP in Pudsey, West Yorkshire, managed to keep surprisingly busy.

As a part time GP, people (both colleagues and friends) ask when I do on my days off.

Well, today was my regular day off... In between getting some exercise, doing the washing, cleaning, shopping and some meal preparation, I read the BMJ and Pulse, typed up some notes from a recent workshop on palliative care for non metastatic liver disease and added them to the appraisal website, and investigated the Map of Medicine website.

So much for a day 'off'!
