25 – Dr Shane Gordon

Dr Shane Gordon is another of the new wave of GP commissioners making a real impact in shaping how the NHS reforms are implemented, in the second wave of pathfinder consortia announced in January he became the lead of the North East Essex Commissioning Group.

He is co-clinical lead of the NHS Alliance's GP Commissioning Federation and GP commissioning lead for NHS East of England, regularly writing for Pulse about his experiences.

He works two days a week at his practice in Tiptree, Essex and he is also a member of both the RCGP and the Royal College of Surgeons.
