New entry

Sometimes GPs find they don’t have the right words to describe how they feel. But Sunderland GP Dr Phil Peverley is on hand with his skillful and acerbic prose.

His Pulse column has won multiple awards and the respect of his colleagues, who praised his ‘sound views’.

He says his highlight of the year was going part-time and his low point was not going part-time early enough.

And in response to being told he has made it into Pulse’s Top 50, he says: ‘Don’t listen to me, I’m burnt-out. No-one this disillusioned with general practice should be considered as influential.’
