Dr Richard Fieldhouse, chief executive of the National Association of Sessional GPs, threatened to spark a revolution last year when he led a move for salaried GPs and locums to quit the BMA for the Medical Practitioners' Union.
He has been quieter of late, having secured a place on the GPC, but no doubt will be instrumental in the BMA's work to heal the salaried GP-partner divide.
