BMA action was aimed at wrong target

At the BMA roadshow I attended, I counselled against any action that would have an effect on patients.

I suggested the main action should have been against the health reforms.

It could have consisted of disengagement from the commissioning groups, with their expensive wasteful meetings, and stopping generic prescribing – neither of which would have impacted patients and could have run and run until the Government entered meaningful negotiations. As always, nobody listens.
