Dr Mohammed Saqib Anwar

Described as ‘very articulate’, Dr Mohammed Saqib Anwar is the youngest and first GP within five years of qualification to be appointed as an RCGP faculty chair.

In his work as medical secretary of Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland LMC, he added his voice to the chorus of GP leaders calling on the Government to reimburse medical indemnity costs, and called for caution when his CCG announced it was bringing in US-trained physician associates to work in local practices. He has also been appointed as a primary care adviser for the CQC.
