A Bill that would see hospitals allowed to ‘experiment’ new techniques on dying patients has won ‘huge support’ from the public, reports the Telegraph.
The response to the public consultation on the Medical Innovations Bill, first brought by Lord Saatchi in 2012, is to be presented to the House of Lords this Thursday.
Also in the Telegraph, a leading scientist says people should ‘give up dairy products to beat cancer’. Professor Jane Plant, who has been fighting breast cancer herself since 1987, says cancer is ‘overwhelmingly linked’ to animal products.
Learning a second language can delay the onset of dementia by years, reports the BBC.
‘Our study shows that bilingualism, even when acquired in adulthood, may benefit the aging brain,’ said Dr Thomas Bak, from the Centre for Cognitive Ageing and Cognitive Epidemiology at the University of Edinburgh.
