All patients with stable prescriptions are offered repeatable scripts. They are handed the authorising script and six or 12 dispensing scripts to take to the chemist in one go, saving the time spent issuing monthly repeats.
This has reduced consultations whose sole purpose is to ask for a prescription and has saved receptionist time.
