Heh, heh, heh – I'd love to be a fly on the wall for those. Then he brings in the usual GMC argument reminding us that we are duty-bound to use resources efficiently. Hmm, but are there not also GMC mandates to put your patient first and to do no harm? In my opinion these would surely override any concerns over resources.
The contracts with these private providers should be ripped up or unilaterally altered – as seems to occur regularly with our so-called contracts! Ooh, it does make my piss boil.
