Peverley bags second writing gong this year

Pulse columnist Dr Phil Peverley has been crowned Business Columnist of the Year at the British Society of Magazine Editors Awards this month.

The announcement follows a golden year for the Pulse columnist after his award for Columnist of the Year at the Professional Publishers Association (PPA) awards in June.

Dr Peverley, a GP in Sunderland, was up against Wouter Vanstiphout from Building Design and two columnists from Inside Housing - Jeremy Swain and Mr Anonymous.

Other awards this year include Editor’s Column of the Year at the 2012 Tabbies International Editorial and Design Awards for then editor Richard Hoey. Pulse also won an honourable mention at the same awards for Best Single Issue 2012.
