Pulse journalist wins major industry award

Pulse journalist Adam Legge was named Health Editor of the Year at the Medical Journalist Association Awards last night.

Mr Legge fought off stiff competition from Cherill Hicks at the Daily Telegraph, Alistair McLellan at the Health Service Journal, Fiona MacDonald Smith at The Times and Julie Powell at Good Housekeeping magazine.

The award comes in recognition of his work editing the clinical section of Pulse and developing the new CPD site Pulse-Learning.

Pulse and Practical Commissioning were nominated in a further three categories at the awards held at the Royal Society of Medicine in London last night. Practical Commissioning was nominated as Medical Publication of the Year, clinical news editor Lilian Anekwe was nominated for Health Journalist of the Year and PulseToday was nominated in the Health Website of the Year category.
