The Pulse editorial team has been shortlisted four times in the 2010 British Society of Magazine Editors awards – making us the most successful publication in the UK in the year's most prestigious magazine awards shortlist.
Pulse editor Richard Hoey was shortlisted for editor of the year in the weekly business and professional magazines category, as well as for the Fiona MacPherson New Editor of the Year (Business) Award.
PulseToday editor Steve Nowottny was shortlisted alongside Richard for the new editor of the year award, and was also shortlisted for website editor of the year in the business category.
Shortlists for the innovation/brand-building initiative of the year and campaign of the year, both of which Pulse also entered, will be published in mid-October, with the winners of the awards to be announced at a gala dinner in central London on 9 November.
Earlier this year Pulse was crowned medical publication of the year by the Medical Journalists' Association, and also won two gongs at the worldwide Trade Association Business Publications International awards. Pulse's news team bagged the gold editorial award for news coverage, while Pulse columnist Dr Phil Peverley won a silver award for best columnist.
