This module will give you a GP focused update on common ENT problems:
- Deciding which patients to refer for cochlear implants
- Managing patients in an emergency, such as nasal fractures, airway obstruction or foreign bodies in the ear
- Distinguishing acute otitis externa from otitis media
- Identifying key features of thyroid, mouth, nasal, laryngeal and salivary gland cancer
- Screening children for hearing problems
This module was first published on 12th January 2011 and was up to date with all key guidelines and evidence at that point. It will be reviewed as part of our routine update cycle by 12th January 2013 but will be updated sooner to reflect any key guideline changes.
