Also known as patient access. Risk Sharing Schemes (RSS) and patient access schemes (PAS) have been set upto allow the NHS and pharmaceutical companies to build clinical experience withmedicines which might normally not be funded. Where such a scheme exists it isvital that NHS bodies make full access to the scheme to secure maximum cost effectiveness of providing treatment.
