Health Education England spectacularly mishandled GP postgraduate training this year, with the worst recruitment figures for seven years and 40% of places unfilled in some regions. Despite publishing a report with a list of ideas on how to boost GP places in July, HEE has yet to implement any of them. A complete mess.
