Two new health ministerial appointments made

The coalition Government's health team has been completed with the appointment of two more ministers, it has been announced.

Anne Milton MP, conservative member of parliament for Guildford, Surrey and Earl Howe, an elected Conservative party peer, were announced as health ministers today.

Ms Milton, a former nurse, has served as a shadow minster for health for three years, and Earl Howe has been the conservative party spokesperson for health and social care since 1997.

Simon Burns and Paul Burstow have already been announced as ministers for health in the new coalition Government, working with Andrew Lansley, the new secretary of state for health.

It was also announced today the Chancellor George Osborne will present his first energency budget on June 22, six weeks after taking office.
