This module will give a primary care focused overview of diagnosing and managing UTIs in adults including:
Empirical treatment of cystitis
The clinical value of urine dipstick analysis in diagnosing UTI
Managing elderly patients with a positive dipstick but who are asymptomatic
Antibiotic choice and length of course
Non-antibiotic treatments
UTIs in patients with catheters
UTIs in pregnancy
