Colleges already do work together

Contrary to your suggestion, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health has been collaborating with the RCGP and campaigning together for all GP trainees to have the opportunity to do training within a paediatric department.

The RCGP also supports the RCPCH's 10 recommended standards for paediatric services in hospitals – where both colleges back more opportunities for GPs to get paediatric hospital experience.

We continue to work closely together to support development of training curricula to improve care for children and young people and drive up standards for patients – and to deliver first-class clinical support within the primary care setting.
