Effective prescribing in depression: a video module (1 CPD hour)

 

Director of pharmacy Professor David Taylor discusses the effectiveness of antidepressants, antidepressant polypharmacy, drugs in refractory depression and treatment for bipolar depression.
Learning objectives


This module will cover a variety of topics relating to pharmacology in depression, including:

  • The belief that antidepressants do not work
  • NICE guidance and antidepressive medication
  • Polypharmacy with antidepressants
  • Refractory depression

In this module, you will watch Professor David Taylor deliver a presentation covering the above topics. This video was recorded at a Pulse Clinical Seminar which took place in May 2012.
