Dr Dean Marshall is number 48 in the 2013 Pulse Power 50. He is down 28 places from last year’s list.
Described by our panel as a ‘radical thinker’, the former chair of GPC Scotland was elected back onto the GPC in controversial fashion in 2012, taking the place of the only female negotiator Dr Beth McCarron Nash.
A GP in Dalkeith, Midlothian, Dr Marshall has led on revalidation for the GPC, steering the negotiations through the row over funding for remediation.
Dr Marshall stood against Dr Chaand Nagpaul as GPC chair this year but was eliminated in the second round.
