GP training places: how are we doing?

The latest GP training figures reveal wide variation in fill rates across the UK.

Despite a slight increase in filled places in England, the Government’s target to train 3,250 GPs a year in England remains some way off, with 2,936 (90%) filled this year.

  • The problem isnt just people being put off from entering the profession. If it was all so hunky dory why are GPs leaving in droves.
