BBC TV programme to feature GP helping family tackle health issues

TV producers are looking for a GP to work with them on a new programme exploring the health challenges facing the nation through the experiences of one family.

Production company Studio Lambert said the programme – slated for primetime BBC1 – will follow the GP as they ‘immerse themselves in the lives of one ordinary British family’ working with them on lifestyle choices and helping them to ‘make positive changes that will ultimately improve their wellbeing’.

The programme makers said they hope this will give the GP a springboard to communicate the wider health issues of the nation.

The chosen GP will only need to be available a few days each month and producers will work around their busy schedules, Studio Lambert said.
