GP practice vandalised five times in a month

Police have arrested two people in connection with a practice in Edinburgh being vandalised five times.

The vandalising of Liberton Medical Group began in May, and has left 25 windows smashed at the GP practice.

In the latest attack, which took place around 12.30am on Monday morning, the door of the practice was also smashed and a wheelie bin set on fire.

Police have been paying increased attention to the area and told Pulse they have now arrested two teenage girls.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: ‘Police in Edinburgh have charged two females, aged 14 and 17, in connection with the vandalism of a premises in Liberton Gardens, which was reported on Monday 12 June. A report will be submitted to the Children’s Reporter, however enquiries continue and local officers will be giving the area increased attention.’
