This Pulse Plus looks at women's health, covering gynaecological cancers, polycystic ovary syndrome, the menopause, premenstrual syndrome and gynaecological emergencies.
 
Learning objectives


This module will update your knowledge on women's health, including:

  • Key questions on gynecological cancer
  • Tips on managing polycystic ovary syndrome
  • The management of premenstrual syndrome
  • An update on gynecological emergencies
  • Managing the menopause

Professor Martin Widschwendter is head of the women's cancer department at University College London and a gynaecological oncology consultant surgeon at University College London Hospital.

Dr Ann Williams is a GP in Birmingham and a GPSI in women's health.

Dr Carrie Sadler is a GP in Brailsford, Derbyshire, and associate specialist in reproductive healthcare

Miss Saswati Maitra is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist and the lead for gynaecological emergency at the North West London Hospitals NHS Trust

Dr Nick Panay is a consultant gynaecologist and Dr Kate Maclaran is a clinical research fellow at the West London Menopause and PMS Centre, Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital
