Your analogy about horse and cart is apt. I fear that the results of the listening exercise will not remedy the profound problems inherent in this legislation, the lack of accountability and transparency and the promotion of competition, never mind the costs and chaos that will ensue. I believe we are in for the long haul in defending the NHS, whatever Prime Minister David Cameron announces – which is likely just to be a PR job with Liberal Democrat-appeasing minor changes to wording.
