Last chance for GPs to register for Pulse LIVE London
GPs have two weeks left to sign up for Pulse LIVE London, on 28 and 29 April, for a chance of face-to-face learning and discussion built around the realities of working in general practice.
The free GP-dedicated conference, worth up to nine CPD points, will take place at the Business Design Centre in Islington and will feature expert-led presentations, an exhibition and networking opportunities for attendees.
Pulse will also host an on-stage interview with former RCGP chair and now-peer Baroness Gerada of Kennington as part of its ‘Big Interview’ series.
Baroness Gerada, who is still a practising GP in London, was appointed to the House of Lords in October in recognition of her service to medicine and mental health, as a new non-party-political cross bench peer.
The prominent GP led NHS Practitioner Health from its formation in 2008 until 2020 and was chair of the RCGP from 2010 to 2013. Since becoming a peer, she has been vocal about her frustration over the slow progress of the assisted dying bill.
The second day of the conference will close with a keynote from former BMA chair Dr Chaand Nagpaul CBE. His session ‘Leading through change: strengthening general practice in an era of structural reform’ will look at the future of general practice at a time of major change across the NHS, as the 10-year health plan begins to be delivered.
Pulse LIVE London will also host a variety of sessions focussing on clinical and policy updates, including the medical examiner system in practice, polypharmacy pitfalls, asthma, perimenopause and more. The full agenda can be found here.
Tickets are free for all practising, GMC-registered GPs and GP trainees. For more information and to sign up for the event, visit the event’s website.
The Pulse LIVE roadshow will be travelling across the country throughout 2026, with events in Birmingham, Cardiff and more planned.
Last June, Professor Gillian Leng – leader of the Government-commissioned review into PAs – was interviewed by Sofia at Pulse LIVE Birmingham ahead of the release of her report.
And last March March, primary care minister Stephen Kinnock spoke at Pulse LIVE London, addressing GP delegates on general practice’s central role in the future of the NHS, and also answered questions from the audience.
