9 – Paul Dacre

There is no love lost between the medical profession and Paul Dacre.

As editor of the Daily Mail, Mr Dacre has overseen a string of GP-bashing headlines, with the chief target the ‘jaw-dropping' sums GPs are paid in ‘bonuses' and ‘overtime payments' and more recently, the interminable struggles some patients have in getting through to GPs on the phone.

Tellingly, Mr Dacre came second only to health secretary Andrew Lansley when we asked GPs to name their Pantomime Villain of the Year last Christmas.
