Six practices in the Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven area are joining Modality Partnership, forming a new regional arm of the GP superpractice.
The practices joining Modality are the Cross Hills Group Practice, Farfield Group Practice, Fisher Medical Centre, Holycroft Surgery, Oakworth Medical Practice and Kilmeny Group Medical Practice.
Modality, which brands itself ‘the first national super-partnership in England’, says it has ‘a small, centralised management team’ to handle finance, payroll, IT, governance, HR and communications across all practices in the partnership.
The superpractice says ‘this frees up staff across GP practices to be able to concentrate on taking care of our patients’, with the newly-joining practices hoping that their merger will help improve access to GP appointments for their registered patients.
Dr Naresh Rati, GP and CEO of Modality Partnership said: ‘We welcome the expansion of Modality Partnership into the Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven area.

Dr Parson hopes that ‘by being a part of a larger group of GP practices, we can realistically achieve our goals and deliver excellent patient care for all’.
He added: ‘This will help us to improve access to appointments and to improve care for our patients.
‘We have chosen to work with Modality Partnership as they share our same ethos and vision for the future of patient care and GP-led services.’
