Sympathise with your views here, Doc Copp. Tangentially related; I've worked on the inside of cancer research, seen the waste of money and so consequently refuse to sponsor anyone raising money for any of the various cancer research charities. Gareth Lloyd

I sympathise too. In my experience both as a doctor and a patient- diagnosis is relatively easy. It is obtaining any form of treatment especially for the rarer cancers. They maybe individually rare but rare cancers overall are common. They however have no treatment plans and usually left for nature to run its course. Keeping patients uninformed seems to be the main goal after of course the "empty hospital bed goal" Lesley kirkpatrick
