I know that Dr. Copperfield is a fictional character but this column is unacceptable in its depiction of those with mental health problems.
I think that the authors and editor should remove this article and apologise for its publication in the first place. Its publication has caused distress to a considerable number of people including myself. Anne marie Cunningham

Well I'd quite like the hampster :-)
Get over yourselves! Don't read copperfield if you are fainthearted - the whole point of his column is his humour and I personally find it hysterical ....when I'm down I dont reach for the prozac I just read one of Copperfield's columns!! nikki
