Summary Care Record

An electronic record aimed at giving healthcare staff faster, easier access to essential information about you, to help provide them with safe treatment when they need emergency care or where their GP practice is closed. It contains important information about any medicines the patient is taking, allergies they suffer from or any bad reactions they have had to medicines. Summary Care Records are gradually being rolled out across England. The NHS is sending out letters and information packs.
