Clinical picture of the week: Squamous cell carcinoma

This award-winning picture shows a 67-year old man with a squamous cell carcinoma on his thumb. The photo shows the exposed lesion and the swelling caused by the tumour.

This picture was a bronze award winner in the 2009 Institute of Medical Illustrators awards and was taken by Tom Kersey, Royal Gwent Hospital.
