Dr David Jenner, a GP in Cullompton, Devon, is one of the most high-profile members of the NHS Alliance, where he currently holds the role as GMS/PMS contract lead.
Charismatic and affable, he has carved out a niche as the alliance’s cynical pragmatist-in-chief, a role he is always happy to play at alliance events and meetings, and one which dovetails effectively with the relentlessly positive approach of his colleague and friend Dr Michael Dixon.
A former PCT PEC chair and practice-based commissioning lead, Dr Jenner is now heading up his local pathfinder consortia in Devon.
What’s more, according to his NHS Alliance profile, he ‘hunts native orchids and moths, and nurtures an extensive collection of carnivorous plants’. Truly a man for all seasons.
