32. Dr Dan Bunstone

Another digital service leader who is exerting more influence on the profession. Dr Bunstone is chief medical officer at Push Doctor, which offers private appointments but also provides NHS video consultations to huge swathes of the West Midlands.

This year, it partnered with ‘Urban Health’ and ’13’ primary care networks to cover 88,000 patients, having already signed a deal to cover 100,000 patients of Modality, the superpractice which includes practices in the West Midlands, Yorkshire, London and the South East.

He lists his achievements as receiving a ‘good’ rating from the CQC and setting up a cross-sector forum comprised of the majority of current digital healthcare providers, focused on driving up clinical standards across the sector.

Dr Bunstone has also taken on the role of clinical director for the Warrington Innovation Network, alongside his role as GP principal in Warrington.

One nominator said: ‘Since joining Push Doctor, he has been instrumental in building a partnership with the NHS, and has collaborated with practices across the UK to create a service that offers patients better choice and accessibility – with no need to de-register.’
