General Practice Awards 2026: entry deadline extended to 16 June

The entry deadline for the General Practice Awards 2026 has been extended, but time is running out. GPs, practice teams, primary care organisations and suppliers have until 16 June 2026 at 4pm to submit their nominations.

Those wishing to enter can find more information and submit on the General Practice Awards website.

Organised by Pulse’s publisher Cogora, the awards are now in their 18th year. They recognise excellence across UK primary care, covering clinical care, innovation, leadership and teamwork.

Who can enter

Entries are open to GPs, nurses, practice managers, pharmacists, PCN teams, reception teams and other primary care staff. You can nominate yourself, a colleague, or a team, and you can enter across more than one category.

That might be a colleague who has gone above and beyond for their patients, a team that has made a real difference to patient care, or a project that has had a clear impact on services or outcomes. Entering is a chance to give that work the recognition it deserves and share good practice with the wider primary care community. With the deadline now just days away, there is still enough time to put together a strong entry.

Categories

Some categories are still light on entries and we would encourage anyone working in these areas to consider putting something forward before the deadline: Clinical Improvement: Mental Health, Receptionist/Reception Team of the Year, Sustainability in Practice, Extended Practice Team Member of the Year and Future Leader in Primary Care. If you or someone you know is doing strong work in any of these areas, do not leave it too late.

Supplier categories

The awards also recognise suppliers working in general practice. Categories cover AI and digital solutions, pharmacy, professional services, and recruitment and staffing. If your company supports general practice and you have not yet entered, next week’s deadline is the final opportunity to do so.

The Entry Submission Guide covers what you will be asked in the online form, including character limits and tips on what to include. Entries do not need to be lengthy to be considered, so do not let that put you off.
