MPs have been handed one last chance to debate the Government's decision not to publish the risk register for its controversial health reforms, after the Speaker House of Commons ruled that a debate on the issue will take place tomorrow.
The Speaker, John Bercow, granted the debate for the beginning of Parliamentary business on Tuesday, when the Health and Social Care Bill could make its final appearance before the House of Commons.
The Government lost an appeal against the Information Commissioner's instruction to publish the Health and Social Care Bill's transitional risk register earlier this month, but said it will not publish the register before it receives the full ruling from the Information Rights Tribunal, which upheld the Information Commissioner's original decision.
The House of Lords today voted down a proposed amendment that would have delayed the Bill's third, and final, reading in the Lords until the Information Rights Tribunal's full ruling was published.
